Tests
What is tested
Tested against live OpenAI and Anthropic models on .NET 8 and .NET 10, and with a local model through Ollama. The offline test suites run on both frameworks in continuous integration.
| Area | .NET 8 | .NET 10 | How |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core library | Passes | Passes | Offline tests with a scripted model |
| Intent catalog and file reload | Passes | Passes | Offline tests on local folders |
| IChatClient adapter and agent tools | Passes | Passes | Offline tests with a fake chat client |
| Live OpenAI and Anthropic models | Passes | Passes | Real calls to the providers |
Real calls to a local model served by Ollama also pass. The packages also carry a .NET 9 build. It is compiled from the same source as the others, but its tests are not run separately.
Known limits
Known limits
- Reload is tested on local folders. Network shares, Kubernetes ConfigMaps and editors that save through a temporary file and a rename are not tested yet.
- Intent versions are reported, not enforced: an edit that keeps or lowers the version still loads, and the load reports it.
- The database runtime's schema discovery is tested on SQLite only.
- The constraint keywords of a JSON schema given at run time (such as
minimumorpattern) are checked by the intent catalog's validator, or by validators of your own, not by the core alone.
